RECON works because everyone treats everyone like they're someone's family — because they are. These rules are the whole point, not fine print.
NO ADDRESSES. EVER.
RECON never stores or shows an exact home address or a member's exact ZIP. You see a general city/region and an approximate “~N MI” distance. That's the most specific it gets, by design.
BEING FOUND IS OPT-IN
Nobody appears in the directory without choosing to be discoverable — and you can switch off “be discoverable” at any time to disappear from search entirely.
MUTUAL OPT-IN
Connections work one way only: REQUESTED, then ACCEPTED. Nobody reaches you without asking, and you approve everyone who asks you. Both states are tracked.
YOU CONTROL YOUR INFO
Relationship, branch, area, interests — every field can be hidden. What you hide stays hidden from matching too: you're never surfaced by something you didn't share.
MEMBERS ARE NOT VERIFIED
No verification process exists yet, so no badges are shown and none are claimed. Profiles are self-reported — meet people like you'd meet anyone new: with good judgment.
